2018 YEAR IN REVIEW

In 2018, the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House had an overall occupancy rate of 116 percent, up significantly compared to the past five years. After many months of transition, we became fully staffed with a new Operations Manager, Development Manager, and Administrative Coordinator. We also added five new members to our Board of Trustees, each of whom brings a wealth of experience and talents to the House. The House was awarded the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Citizen Award, and we also started two new programs: Baking with Love and a Student Leadership Board for local high school students. Our Walk for Kids was our most successful ever, and in November, our Fall Gala broke all of our previous records for attendance and revenue. Finally, we made cosmetic upgrades to our guest rooms and upgraded some of our outdated kitchen appliances. We are thrilled to enter our next phase of growth and grateful for all of our friends who are joining us on this exciting journey!

THE lOPEZ FAMILY

“Having the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House provide a safe and nurturing place for my child during this time of recovery is something very special and unique. The families here treat each other as an extension of their own family. Without the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House my daughter would not be able to have this new quality of life.”
